The Kia Sidewinder was a concept car that was shown at the 2006 Los Angeles Motor Show and then scheduled for production in 2008. The original design for the sports car included a natural gas turbine and electric motors in each wheel.

Designed at the Kia America Design Center by Marc Mainville, the Kia Sidewinder concept was meant to be an environmentally friendly vehicle.

Kia planned to produce the vehicle for production in 2008, based on a modified Kia Rio platform with a conventional gasoline engine.
