The exterior wall of ‘Ye-hwa-rang’ serves both as a wall and a medium to provide the exhibit information. The architect intended the wall to become a giant canvas within the cityscape.
The architects treated the exposed concrete skin of the seven-story tower as a folded, sculptural “urban canvas.” Rising from a base above two stories set below grade, five vertical bands undulate to reveal glazing as apertures into the gallery spaces.
