Christa Joo Hyun D'Angelo is a Berlin based Korean-Italian American artist who was born in 1983 Busan, South Korea and raised in NYC.

Christa attended The Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore Maryland studying under art critic TJ Demos while majoring in Painting and minoring in Anthropology before transferring to The Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow Poland. During her tenure in Poland she traveled extensively throughout Europe and in 2006 Christa received her BFA in Painting. Upon graduation she moved to Berlin.

Her work investigates the sensation of media consumption and popular culture within the public domain. She has been featured in various publications such as I LOVE YOU MAGAZINE, NYTimes TMAGAZINE, Beautiful Decay Book 2, Dossier Online, Independent Style, and has produced projects with AFAR Magazine and VAULT49 in NY.

Christa has exhibited at September Gallery, The Korean Culture Center of Germany and The Singapore Design Festival. Currently, she divides her time between Berlin and NYC while battling her life long fear of the dentist.
