My.Suit Selected by A.R.E as 2011 Design Award Winner

Less is more in this men’s suit retailer, which offers a 3,000-square-foot space for men to enjoy custom designing their own suit, a tangible representation of their web shopping experience. Suits are visually displayed without looking busy, suit fabrics on hand to touch and feel are held by magnets, and fixtures have integrated projectors and monitors for the interactive suitbuilding process. Touch-screen computers and projectors offer a step-by-step process for customers to follow in a streamlined, yet dramatic space filled with neutral black, white, and gray.

My.Suit, a made-to-measure suit retailer offering a fully customizable menswear shopping experience, has just been named one of A.R.E.'s 2011 Design Award Winners. The hand-patinated steel, bronze, and glass fixtures featured in the clothier's New York City space were designed by UnSPACE and crafted by Amuneal to be reminiscent of displays found in the American Museum of Natural History. The clean, crisp lines and hand finished aspects of the illuminated showcases and multi-media fabric bar were deliberately chosen to highlight the the tailored environment.

Amuneal, UnSPACE and My.Suit were chosen out of a record 298 entries by a panel of A.R.E. judges to receive one of just 54 awards. The awards will be presented on March 28th, in the Venetian Ballroom at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas.

A shop sells clothes, A space made of clothes. with yoorimko
I wonder ‘if a clothes shop is made of clothes’ Our half in fun idea make us enable to instinctive design. We exclude all other things in the shop and make a ironical concept which is packing clothes as clothes.

Gregory Polletta and Sung Jang have created Topiade, a lay-over facade structure designed to renew an existing Louis Vuitton store building without a major reconstruction. The concept of topiary and the French garden were taken to extend and exhibit the luxurious quality of Louis Vuitton.
