outdoor project polycarbonate 750x450
The big difference between outdoor and indoor furniture is material. Not like indoor furniture, outdoor furniture should be strong against sunshine, water, changing temperature. And I wanted to use see-through material. Because it matches well with others no matter what surrounding is, and it gives more mystiques through its transparency. The most appropriate material for these conditions was polycarbonate, so I researched processing methods.
The most attractive method was vacuum heat treatment. First give heat of high temperature and then through vacuuming it, you can make the shape that you want to make. The good point of this vacuum heat treatment is if you have mold, you can achieve mass production. Next in terms of design, I wanted to express outdoors’ cold feeling into more warmly.I thought we all have warm feeling about our childhood memory such as sharing jellies with friends. It can arouse our sympathy, so here comes JELLYPO.

Folding Beds for the homeless is sort of cardboard furniture. You can easily fold and set up with small plastic buttons.
Furthermore, It is easy to carry around and very light because of the box-like material.
Also the fact that it is cheap(5 U.S. dollars) and disposable after one use, anyone can use it anywhere. This bed was at first made for the comfort for the homeless.
However, it is also convenient for the use in outdoor sports or refugees camp during a war.

2CH (SDESIGNUNIT, D7, atoyfactory, Sohui Won)
Project title : 2ch Action Light - Spray, Open, Blow, Shake
In a sophisticated and diverse living environment, we continuously interact with numerous objects. But all such complex looking interactions can ultimately be defined in the interaction language of 2CH (on and off). All objects and actions have appropriated response structures, and we have discovered behavioral characteristics appropriate for each object, through 100 different objects. Through this 2CH-Action-Light, we attempt to discuss the possibility of a new switch; from behavioral patterns in which the switch was used to turn the lamp on and off, to turning on the lights through objects we can easily see. This project is not merely an experiment for the lamp switch, but carries significance in that it is to discover the possibility of change for other switches lying around us.

Waltz for mood - The Waltz for Mood is not a mere rack for wine glasses, or a lamp for that matter. It creates an ambience and atmosphere that resembles a Waltz piece.
The Waltz for Mood has a simple combination. With the Waltz for Mood, wine glasses left over in the corner of a home bar or a wine bar can be reborn as a pendant lamp.

The thing, not manufatured, has possibilities to be manufactured.
Countless manufacturers and designers have to pursue new possibilities with their own perspective. The exhibition of "Saw the Raw" shows the various possibilities that can be achieved through objects chosen from daily life created by 8 different designers.
You can begin to notice the subtle differences from one object to the next.
'Take off' is a board with light, consisting of five different graphic layers. When the layers are removed, the overlapping Graphic will, based on the CMYK theory, reveal various designs, colors, and brightnesses. A change in table graphics brings a change in the surroundings as well.
